EARLIER TODAY, THE 10th annual National Hospitality Conference and Awards honoured the best pubs, hotels and Ireland in a ceremony held at the InterContinental Hotel in Dublin.
So what are the best pubs in Ireland?
*drumroll*
Doheny & Nesbitt
This popular Baggot Street watering hole was named Best Overall Pub.
Maybe it’s because of the Guinness and hearty food.
Or maybe it’s because it’s a tip-top place to watch rugby.
Or maybe it’s because of the excellent decor.
Lowry’s
This Clifden pub was named Best Traditional Pub.
And it’s easy to see why.
After all, it’s got the session…
The mussels…
And the auld lads.

L. Mulligan Grocer
One of the jewels in Stoneybatter’s crown, L. Mulligan Grocer was named Best Pub with Food.
And anyone who has sampled their culinary delights will know why.
We’re hungry just looking at these photos.
Vintage Cocktail Club
This Dublin cocktail bar has an air of exclusivity and glamour about it, so it’s easy to understand why it was named Best Cocktail Experience.
Look how damned classy this is.
We truly are not worthy.
Best Hotel Bar – Sophie’s in The Dean
Sophie’s in The Dean was named Best Hotel Bar.
The oh-so-pretty cocktails might have sealed the deal.
Or perhaps it was the unreal brunch.
Did we mention the swoonworthy views?
The Wright Venue
Love it or hate it, The Wright Venue is one of the best-known nightclubs in Ireland and was duly named Best Nightclub.
In fairness, this does look a bit epic.
Sinnott’s
More than a few of you might have dropped into Sinnott’s over the weekend to watch Ireland’s devastating Rugby World Cup defeat.
The South King Street spot was named Best Sporting Pub.
See yiz there for Ireland vs. Bosnia?
