7 subscription boxes that will give you a monthly pick-me-up

Yassss.

1. Glossybox

By now, you’ve probably heard of Glossybox. After all, it is arguably the best known of all the beauty subscription boxes on the market.

Here’s the gist: for between €12 and €14 per month, Glossybox sends you a box of beauty treats. It can be a little hit and miss with the brands, but you *are* guaranteed at least five items per month.

These range from sample-sized make-up treats (see: bronzer, cheek tint and mascara) to genuinely handy skincare tools (see: Konjac sponge and cleansing brush).

2. Sock Fancy

Have a love for colouredy socks? Presenting Sock Fancy, the subscription box of your dreams.

For $11, you get a pair of jaunty socks sent to you every month. There’s options for men, women and even couples. (If you choose the latter, we beg you not to Instagram it.)

The best part? Shipping is free. Go forth and wear short pants that flash your whimsical socks.

3. Look Fantastic

Look Fantastic is pretty similar to Glossybox except it arguably has slightly more upmarket brands on offer like Nuxe, Ren and Benefit.

It also comes with the added bonus of a copy of Elle Magazine every month. Sound.

4. My LadyBug

MyLadybug is the brainchild of Mary Rose Simpson and it’s so genius that it beggars belief that nobody thought of it before.

It’s simple: every month you get a care package delivered to coincide with your time of the month. Contained therein are pads or tampons (depending which you’re more comfortable with) and other little treats to make your period that much easier.

And don’t worry, you can select your preferred brand of lady products when subscribing.

5. Papergang

If new notebooks get you feeling hot under the collar then Papergang is the subscription box for you. Every month, subscribers are treated to a selection of pretty stationery from Ohh Deer like cards, notebooks, pens and more.

The perfect monthly pick-me-up.

6. Birchbox

Yes, it’s another beauty box. Like Look Fantastic and Glossybox, Birchbox specialises in giving away little beauty samples from both big-name and lesser-known beauty brands.

Recent Birchbox offerings have included samples from Elemis, John Frieda and Laura Mercier. Not bad. Not bad at all.

7. DropChef

Finally, there’s DropChef. Each week, you’re delivered enough ingredients for three healthy dinners as well as an accompanying recipe for you to follow. You can order enough food to feed one person, two people or entire family, and the plans range in price from €29.85 to €83.40.

Just think of it as sort of a healthy dinner subscription.
