The 9 best takeaway chains in Ireland, as voted by Just Eat users

BOMBAY PANTRY HAS been named the best Indian takeaway chain in Ireland by users of delivery site Just Eat.

Just Eat said it collected thousands of votes in its National Takeaway Awards, which were revealed in a ceremony in Dublin tonight.

Users were asked to vote for their favourite takeaway chain from a shortlist of six in each food category. Some standalone restaurants were also included on the shortlist, but were at a disadvantage – as werechains with fewer outlets – because votes were collected nationally.

(So it’s considerably more impressive if a standalone restaurant wins it… or at least, they probably ran a great social media campaign.)

And the awards go to…

Best Indian Takeaway: Bombay Pantry

In addition, there were regional awards. Mango Tree was named the best takeaway in Dublin; Mizzoni’s Pizza in Leinster; Four Star Pizza in Munster; Apache Pizza in Connaught and Burrito Loco in Ulster.

Oh, and Ireland’s favourite takeaway dish? The spice bag. Obviously.
