Bette Midler is under fire for this 'transphobic' tweet about Caitlyn Jenner

The Midler-Kardashian feud rages on.

OUTSPOKEN ACTRESS Bette Midler has come under fire for a ‘transphobic’ tweet about Caitlyn Jenner.

Last night, Midler tweeted a quip about Jenner’s reality show I Am Cait, which was recently cancelled after two seasons due to low ratings.

Unfortunately for Midler, a significant portion of her 1 million followers didn’t find it all that funny.

Twitter users immediately called Midler out for misgendering Jenner, and expressed surprise at such a comment coming from a ‘supposed friend’ of the LGBT community.

I Am Cait premiered last year to an audience of 2.7 million – however by the end of the second season, ratings had dropped to 480,000.

As of yet, neither Jenner nor any of the extended Kardashian clan have responded to the tweet.

Midler has a storied history with the family – back in March, she and Kim got into a scrap about Kim’s now-infamous nude selfie:

She won’t be making an appearance on Keeping Up With The Kardashians any time soon, then.
