Betty White joins Timberlake and Kunis as a Marine's dream date

White, who’s 89, says she loves a man in uniform, but has turned down a date with a Marine.

GOLDEN GIRLS LEGEND Betty White has broken the heart of a Marine sergeant after she turned down a request of a a date to a ball.

In recent weeks actors Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake have said they will go to the Marine Corps Birthday Ball in Greenville, North Carolina on November 8th.

Black Swan actress Kunis was the first to accept the offer when a Marine based in Afghanistan asked her out via a YouTube video, and she was encouraged to accept by her Friends With Benefits co-star Timberlake.

He in turn was asked to the same event by Cpl. Kelsey De Santis, and accepted.

It had been reported that Kunis had changed her mind about going, but she has clarified that she will in fact be putting on her best frock for her date with Sgt. Scott Moore, reports the Washington Post.

Betty White however, has issued a statement saying that although she’s flattered, work commitments will prevent her from attending the ball with Sgt. Ray Lewis, who, according to the Los Angeles Times, is a Marine recruiter and rapper based in Texas.

White said:

As everyone knows, I love a man in uniform… but unfortunately I cannot accept, as I will be taping an episode of Hot in Cleveland.

Here’s who she turned down:
