Channel 5 confirmed to The Mirror that the 19-year-old from Glasgow was being investigated due to racist tweets and slurs used on her account in relation to the September 11 attacks.
A spokesperson said:
They later tweeted that she had been removed completely.
Ellis appears to have tweeted the slurs back in 2014, when she would have been 15.
The account from which the tweets came, @ellishillon, was deleted shortly after she entered the house.

Her sister since opened a new account for her @HillonEllis and denied that the old tweets existed.

Big Brother have form in ejecting housemates with a zero tolerance approach. Tila Tequila was kicked out of the 2015 Celebrity Big Brother house when photos of her posing as a Nazi emerged, and human ken doll Rodrigo Alves was removed from this year’s show after using the N word twice.
