In a post which was uploaded to Instagram in the last hour, they expressed their regret over recent events, but explained that they needed to distance themselves from the platform as they ‘do not want someone’s blood’ on their hands.
In recent days, a Tullamore woman named Ramona Treacy spoke to The Sunday Times, and detailed the abuse and harrassement she has received from those who believe her to be the person behind the Bloggers Unveiled account.
It has reached a stage where I’m taking medication to cope with the stress and anxiety, and I am not a weak person but this has destroyed me.
Describing recent events as a ‘clusterf*ck’, the person behind the account this morning thanked followers – who number in their hundreds of thousands – for their support, but stated that the ‘baying for blood’ makes them sick.
The post has amassed thousands of likes in mere minutes.
