Bob Geldof gives first interview since the death of his daughter Peaches

Geldof says things have been “intolerable”.

SIR BOB GELDOF has spoken publicly for the first time since his daughter Peaches died three months ago.

The 25-year-old was found unconscious at her home in southeast England on 7 April. She is survived by her husband and two young sons.

Her father spoke to Lorraine yesterday in his first televised interview and said that he didn’t want his grandsons to grown up “wrapped up in the Geldof life”.

He called the time since his daughter’s death “intolerable” and said that his way of coping is to get on a stage and “go mad”.

Geldof also said that grief can strike him at any time:

I’m walking down the road and suddenly out of the blue there’s an awareness of her and I buckle, and I’ve got to be very careful because walking down the King’s Road there’s paps everywhere so I have to duck into a lane and blub for a while.
