She was shopping at an Old Navy clothes store, as she recounts on Facebook, and had this encounter:

Today I was shopping in Old Navy, standing in between a teenage girl and her mom. The girl picked up a plus-size tank top, showed it to her mom and said, “Look! Me and So-and-so can fit in this tank top!” Her mom laughed and said, “Yeah, you could! That thing is huge!”

She couldn’t help but feel upset by the exchange – and posted her story to the Old Navy Facebook page

After she wiped away the tears, Rachel returned to the store to buy that very tank top that made her upset.

She put the image in the Facebook post and it has gone super viral. Standing at nearly a quarter of a million likes and over 10,000 shares Rachel’s response to the incident has inspired many.

Old Navy themselves reached out to her
