Bono and The Edge confirmed to appear (and perform) on the Late Late tonight
Updated 12.40pm
BONO AND THE Edge will be among the guests appearing on The Late Late Show this evening.
An RTÉ source has confirmed to DailyEdge.ie that the U2 frontman and guitarist will be chinwagging with Ryan Tubridy as part of the promotional tour for their latest album Songs of Innocence.
RTÉ had been downplaying the rumours, with Tubridy saying this morning that he was unsure if the pair would make it back to Dublin in time from a trip to Germany.
U2 have already visited Jools Holland and Graham Norton in the past week, with the full band performing each time. A source has said that while the full band won’t be on the Late Late this evening, there will be a “surprise” from the two lads.
While on the Graham Norton couch Bono and the Edge revealed why the sunglasses and the hat are never fair from their heads. Bono’s constant shade-wearing is down to glaucoma… while the Edge just likes hats.
In a recent Facebook video Q&A session with fans Bono also offered an apology of sorts for the way their new album was delivered to Apple devices, saying the band “kind of got carried away with ourselves”.
Comedian Kevin Bridges and founder of the Progressive Democrats Des O’Malley will also be on the Late Late this evening.
