Boots are using a Christmas song in their new summer ad, and everyone's giving out yards about it
YouTube YouTube
IT’S OFFICIALLY SUMMER, meaning Boots has razors, suncream and fake tan to flog.
With that in mind, the pharmacy has launched its latest ad campaign, #ItFeelsLikeSummer. The ad features hordes of people descending on a lido with beach towels, swimming togs and inflatable floats in tow.
Most importantly, however, it features a reworking of Wizzard’s I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday with lyrics modified to suit the season.
The ad has only been airing for a few days now, but it has already managed to successfully many viewers and customers.
Why? Because regardless of the newly modified lyrics, I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday is a Christmas song that has zero business being played in June.
