Boozing Biffo back-stabbed: how Taiwan saw the FF Heave

THAT Taiwanese animation company has revisited Ireland post-bailout – and thinks Micheál Martin is a violent guy.

THE TAIWANESE animation studio that made its name producing animated versions of Tiger Woods’ affair and Steven Slater’s JetBlue freakout has returned to Ireland, to offer its take on Brian Cowen’s ousting from power.

Next Media Animation – who we featured back in November after they produced a side-splitting take on Ireland’s economic downfall – decided to offer a second appraisal of Ireland’s political woes last week, as Brian Cowen – returning with Guinness still in hand – is seen to steer the ship of his coalition into choppy waters, leading the Greens to head for the lifeboats.

Micheál Martin, meanwhile, is blessed with slightly more hair – but, in return, becomes some kind of violent psychopath who is willing to fling daggers into Cowen’s back from several yards away.

In a typically on-the-button take, however, NMA warns that leadership of Fianna Fáil may turn out to be a poisoned chalice…

Here, for posterity, is NMA’s original take on Ireland’s bailout, produced in late November.

NMA makes its money by creating videos summarising or depicting stories for which there is no obvious video footage, and selling them onto news agencies around the world.
