This kid tripped in an art gallery and punched a hole in a €1.3million painting
AN ART GALLERY in Taipei, Taiwan is currently showing an exhibition of Italian masterpieces called The Face of Leonardo: Images of a Genius.
At the weekend, a 12-year-old kid was at the museum, walking past a painting.
He tripped.
Put his hand out to steady himself.
And punched a hole in Flowers by Paolo Porpora, 350 years old and valued at €1.3million.
Impressively, he never spilled the drink in his other hand.
The museum later released CCTV footage of the incident:
The painting now has a “fist-sized gash” in the canvas, according to the Guardian. Local news sources have reported that the boy’s family will not be asked to pay the restoration costs and the painting was insured.
