Poll: How low are your standards when it comes to bra-washing?

‘Fess up.

WHAT IS IT about bra-washing that leaves so much room for confusion?

When it comes to other areas of our wardrobe, we seem to instinctively know what is required of us, but anecdotal evidence proves you’ll get a range of responses the moment you bring bras into the equation.

If you’re looking to the internet for guidance, you’ll see some schools of thought which say a wash is required after each wear while others argue that including your bras in your laundry load every couple of weeks will do the trick.

Considering that vast disparity, it’s no real surprise many of us get particularly cagey when discussing our bra-washing habits, is it?

When it comes to laundry, bras are like no other garment in our wardrobe rotation. They throw up more than just a practical dilemma but what feels like a moral conundrum when you’re faced with the age-old question.

Too much and you’re highly strung with no regard for the delicate nature of the garment. Too little and you’re a manky so-so that needs a reminder about the importance of personal hygiene.

With that in mind, we’re going to put it to you; how often do you wash your bras?

Poll Results:

Hmmm...maybe once a week. (1563)
Honest to God, it could be weeks at a time before they see inside of a washing machine. (1549)
I wouldn't wear one more than twice without washing. (443)
Just like knickers; after every wear! (158)
