Poll: Should Bradley Cooper have gotten an Oscar nom for Best Director?
AND THE NOMINEES are … Not Bradley Cooper and Saoirse Ronan, anyway.
The nominations for this year’s Academy Awards (Oscars to myself and yourself), have divided people across social media. Firstly, people reckon our gal Saoirse Ronan was snubbed for her role in ‘Mary, Queen of Scots’.
Sursh didn’t get a look in, but these gals did:
Elsewhere, ‘A Star Is Born’ got plenty of love from the Academy: Shallow was nominated for best song (of course), while Bradley Cooper snagged a nomination for Best Actor for his performance as Jackson Maine.
Could we be getting a live duet from Bradz and Gaga? Here’s hoping.
However, people were surprised that he was omitted from the Best Director category – a nom (and a win!) which he was undoubtedly gunning for with his directorial debut. Awks.
No word from Brad yet, but Rob Lowe is pretty cut up about it.
As were all of these other people …
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
Conspiracy theories aside – what do you think? Did Bradley deserve a nom or were the Academy right, in this instance?
