Carter has strenuously denied the allegations, and according to an interview Brian Littrell gave to TMZ this week, Nick has the full support of his bandmates.

Speaking at LAX airport, Brian told reporters that while he’s reluctant to comment on the case, he ‘stands beside’ his bandmate.

He has our full support. It’s on the DA’s desk and they make the call. I can’t make any public statement about it other than it’s under investigation.

He added:

This has been going on for a long time and, you know, unfortunately there are fame-seekers that are out there. He’s been forthright and honest with us and we have to stand beside our bandmate, that’s all we can do.

When pressed on the issue by the reporter, Brian said that while he’s confident the case won’t progress, the band simply have to await the outcome of the investigation.

At the end of the day, we have to assess that bridge when we get there. I honestly don’t feel like it will be there. We feel confident in the situation, but it is what it is.

In a rather misguided move, Brian then highlighted the band’s new-found popularity.

After alluding again to fame-seekers, the performer gave the Backstreet Boys a shout-out.

It’s the time and the world we live in. Everybody wants to know something or get something off somebody and, you know, Backstreet Boys are top ten on radio right now and back in people’s brains. That’s a fortunate situation. That’s an unfortunate situation that there’s a little bit of baggage in that situation, but we’ll see.

Carter’s case is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles County District Attorney.
