BRIE LARSON REPRESENTED the Room posse at last night’s Oscars, winning the Best Actress award for her performance as Ma in Lenny Abrahamson’s film.
Perhaps the cutest moment was when her young co-star (and candidate for Most Overlooked For An Oscar Ever) Jacob Tremblay jumped up to give her a bear hug after her win was announced.
Larson thanked the Telluride and Toronto festivals for giving Room the platform and boost it needed to get noticed.
She also thanked Irish director Lenny Abrahamson (to a round of spontaneous applause) calling him “absolutely incredible”, writer Emma Donohue and Jacob Tremblay, who she called “my partner through this in every way possible”
Larson had the absolute craic with Best Supporting Actress winner Alicia Vikander, both clutching their Oscars…
She made time to take a picture for Leo and the lads…
In fact, she had the absolute craic full stop…
And wasted no time getting her Oscar engraved…
Earlier Larson provided one of the most touching moments of the ceremony when she stood to hug every sexual assualt survivor who had been on stage for Lady Gaga’s performance.
