Here's the Late Late Show performance that melted hearts all over Ireland
YOU MAY REMEMBER the video of Mark McMullan singing Les Miserables’ Bring Him Home to his brother Declan, who has locked-in syndrome.
The McMullan family appeared on the Late Late Show last night, with father John explaining that Declan’s condition was the result of cardiac arrest which resulted in him dying for six minutes. John brought him back to life with CPR, but he experienced severe brain damage and is now living with locked-in syndrome, meaning he is full aware of his surroundings but cannot control his muscles so must communicate by blinking.
Declan is a huge fan of his brother’s singing, so Mark took to the stage to perform the song that went massively viral online.
AMAZING. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
Whoops!
