These 'British Australian Irish' sausages are on sale down under and it's so confusing
LAST MONTH, A gift shop in the UK was spotted selling “British” Aran jumpers – and everyone, appropriately, called them out on it.
So, keeping with that theme, an Australian product was spotted this morning on Reddit Ireland that lumps another nationality into the mix to boost confusion even more.
To give them their full title:
“The British Sausage Co, Australian Made The British Way… Irish recipe pork sausages”

OK.
There’s a lot to take in here.
It’s not the first time that this monstrosity has been picked up on
It was even the subject of a Reddit thread that went viral back in March

With the simple caption:
The main cause of confusion – aside from the obvious jam-packed number of nationalities employed – is the use of “Irish recipe” directly underneath “Australian made the British way”.
Not to mention the four-leaf clovers dotted around the packaging.
The confusion has been spotted on Facebook too:
“So are these British… Australian or Irish pork sausages .. very confusing”

WE DON’T KNOW WHAT TO THINK.
According to The British Sausage Company’s website, the Irish recipe sausages are available in major retailers across Australia. But you’d have to think they’re trying to hit too many demographics in one go with the packaging – no matter how delicious the sausages themselves might look.
And it’s bound to get pointed out from time to time
Just too many nationalities on one little package.
Only one (or two maybe) can surely prevail.
FIGHT.
