Bruno Mars was joined by the Red Hot Chili Peppers for the Superbowl halftime show

It was pretty great.

IT WAS ALWAYS going to be difficult for this year’s Superbowl Half-Time Show to top Beyoncé’s incredible performance last year, which you’ll remember managed to cause a power outage in the stadium.

This year’s act, Bruno Mars, put in a solid effort though moving around the crowd on what appeared to be a levitating drum kit, before being joined on-stage by musicians with incredible synchronized dance moves.

The highlight, however, was when the Red Hot Chili Peppers joined the performance for a rendition of their song, Give It Away.

Anthony Keidis, the lead singer of The Red Hot Chili Peppers is 51, by the way.

FIFTY-ONE.  That’s pretty impressive.

And, just in case that made you hungry for another look at last year’s Beyoncé performance, here it is again.
