THIS YEAR, ONE OF the most iconic TV shows ever, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, turns 20 years old.
Entertainment Weekly got the whole cast – minus Giles, boo – back together for a special spread celebrating the anniversary.
Creator Joss Whedon says it was “just like a high school reunion”:
But much worse because they all still look really great.
He’s not wrong.
Look at Sarah Michelle Gellar. She is luminous
She’s still married to Freddie Prinze Jr, which brings us untold happiness, and also reprised her role in the new Cruel Intentions TV series.
Here she is goofing around with her on-screen sister Michelle Trachtenberg:
Look at our OTP Willow (Alyson Hannigan) and Tara (Amber Benson), hanging with Oz (Seth Green)
Alyson, as you’ll know, went on to star in How I Met Your Mother for almost a decade.
Seth Green is responsible for the cult comedy series Robot Chicken, and Amber Benson has been in Grey’s Anatomy and Supernatural.
Joss Whedon and Xander (Nicholas Brendon)
Criminal Minds fans will remember Nicholas Brendon as Garcia’s boyfriend, Kevin Lynch – and since creating Buffy, Joss wrote the short-lived but beloved Firefly and directed a little thing called The Avengers.
Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and Spike (James Marsters)
James Marsters has popped up in everything from Smallville to Hawaii Five-O since finishing up with Buffy.
Angel is still a babe
After 12 seasons, the series finale of David Boreanaz’ big post-Buffy/Angel success, Bones, aired in the US just last night.
Sarah Michelle was only too delighted to canoodle with him again. Who wouldn’t be, in fairness?
And Cordelia is still absolutely gorge
Charisma Carpenter has a) not aged a day, and b) acted in The Expendables films since leaving Buffy.
The blast from the past has left Buffy fans across the world reeling:
Time to sit down for a rewatch, no? We know what we’re doing with our evening.
