IT MIGHT have been more than 20 years since it premiered, but fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer are damned if they’re going to let anyone do a re-boot.
It’s Sarah Michelle Gellar’s role, and that’s that.
All hell broke loose on Twitter when word landed that plans to revive the series are in development at 20th Century Fox Television, with original series creator, Joss Whedon, on board to produce.
The supernatural programme, which starred Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson Hannigan, Anthony Head and David Boreanaz, has – over the course of the last two decades – been hailed as one of the greatest shows of its time.
And as far as many fans online are concerned, the idea of a reboot is a classic example of fixing what ain’t broken.
Here are just a few of the funniest reactions to the news.
