We have tracked down the new Bus Éireann 'luggage doors operating' announcement

YESTERDAY WE BROUGHT you the bombshell news that Bus Éireann had updated its iconic “luggage doors operating”voiceover.

Yes, the man who instructs passengers to “stand clear” has been replaced by a woman delivering the announcement in both English and Irish.

It has come as a shock to the system for many.

We at DailyEdge.ie contacted Bus Éireann for further clarification on this deeply urgent matter and they told us that a Bus Éireann employee from Galway is the voice behind the new “luggage doors operating” announcement.

Bus Éireann told DailyEdge.ie that the new announcement will be heard on “on the new Expressway coaches and any new vehicles that are being added to the fleet, including new PSO buses coming on stream soon”.

Truly the end of an era.
