There was a camel just strolling around this Mayo village yesterday

Maybe he was on his holidays?

PARROTS IN DALYMOUNT Park, and now camels in Belmullet? The animals are out of control.

Yesterday, Facebook user Clement Shevlin shared this video of a camel having a nice, relaxed stroll around the village of Belmullet, Co Mayo, saying:

Jaysus I know it’s getting hot around the country and Belmullet is getting its fair share of the sun, but I just drove past a camel on the hospital road in Belmullet. The heat in the bog will test these great beasts!

If you’ve been to Belmullet, you know that there is no need for camels there.

It doesn’t appear to be in any rush, no one seems to be stopping it – it’s just enjoying the picturesque views of the countryside. Fair enough?

Shevlin’s video has been shared hundreds of times by bemused Mayo folk, and as there’s no evidence of a circus in the area at the moment, we’ll have to assume it’s an exotic pet.

Belmullet hasn’t seen this much excitement for YEARS.
