Campaign song number 2: John Bracken's your man, apparently
JUST YESTERDAY we posted what we thought was the first campaign song of the general election campaign – but, like buses, you wait ages for one to come along and then they all arrive at once.
Yesterday, we featured the campaign song of John Dillon, a former president of the Irish Farmers Association, who had released a track ahead of his campaign in Limerick.
At the foot of the post we mentioned that John Bracken, an independent candidate in 2007 and again at the local elections in 2009, was famed for his own campaign songs.
Well, Bracken is back in the running for the 2011 campaign – and, though his impressive hairdo remains intact on his campaign literature and poster, with a classy continental-style coiffure for this year’s election.

Edit: We’re informed that the campaign slogan we mentioned earlier wasn’t formally used by Bracken’s campaign in 2007 – though the ‘album artwork’ of the mp3, supplied to us by Bracken HQ this morning, does include it.
