THE TAOISEACH has some high-profile visitors to Government Buildings this afternoon.
Hollywood director Steven Spielberg and actor Daniel Day Lewis have been knocking around Merrion Street to discuss the Irish Film Industry with Enda Kenny and the arts minister, Jimmy Deenihan.
The visit came ahead of the Irish premiere of ‘Lincoln’, Spielberg’s biopic of former US president Abraham Lincoln, in which Day Lewis stars. The film is being given its first Irish showing at the Savoy in Dublin this afternoon.
The Bray-based actor’s performance is tipped to win him the Academy Award for ‘Best Actor’ – making him the only man in history to have won the award three times.
