Cardi B thinks male producers are 'not woke, they're scared' about #MeToo

Fighting talk.

RAPPER CARDI B took time out of her busy schedule to do an interview with Cosmopolitan about literally everything. (According to the rumoured to be pregnant star, the food in LA is terrible).

Once again, she spoke about her time as a stripper, as candidly as ever:

People ask, ‘Why did you strip?’” she says. “I don’t really want to say, ‘Oh, because I was in a relationship with a guy and I needed money to leave.’
People say, ‘Why do you always got to say that you used to be a stripper? We get it.’ Because y’all don’t respect me because of it, and y’all going to respect these strippers from now on.”

She also spoke about the numerous incidents of sexual misconduct she had while trying to build her career as a video vixen. (Urban Dictionary defines a video vixen as “a female of color or mixed ancestry who strips off her clothes, and put into a rap video as a prop”).

A lot of video vixens have spoke about this and nobody gives a fuck. When I was trying to be a vixen, people were like, ‘You want to be on the cover of this magazine?’ Then they pull their dicks out. I bet if one of these women stands up and talks about it, people are going to say, ‘So what? You’re a ho. It don’t matter.’
These producers and directors,” she says, “they’re not woke, they’re scared.”

Ate ‘em, Cardi!

Cardi has been criticised in recent weeks for choosen to stay with her fiancé, rapper Offset, after videos of him allegedly cheating on her were leaked.

Explaining her decision in the interview, she said:

It’s like everybody is coming down my neck, like, ‘Why are you not leaving him? You have low self-esteem.’ I don’t have low self-esteem. Bitch, I know I look good. I know I’m rich, I know I’m talented. I know I could get any man I want—any basketball player, football player. But I want to work out my shit with my man, and I don’t got to explain why. I’m not your property. This is my life.
None of y’all bitches going to hug me to sleep and clean the tears off my face, so let me deal how I want to deal with it. It’s not right, what he fucking did—but people don’t know what I did, ’cause I ain’t no angel.”

So keep shtum with your opinions, yeah?

Here’s hoping she reveals all on her debut album due next month.
