CARRICK-ON-SHANNON has long been touted as the hen and stag capital of Ireland with scores of brides and grooms descending on the Leitrim town every year to enjoy their last nights of freedom.
Last night, RTÉ 2 aired Carrick-On-Stag, a documentary about what exactly goes on during these hen nights and stags.
And it was, er, eye-opening to say the least.
It kicked off with this gal explaining what’s expected of hens and stags
Hens and stags, you’re expecting strippers, prostitutes, drinking, getting langered, getting tied to a pole…
And this best man reading out the ‘rules’ for the stag from the groom’s wife-to-be
Strippers and that are fine, but it’s strictly look, no touch. Motorboating is fine, but no hanky panky or willy-touching.
Everyone at home was pretty much like…
But the moment that got everyone talking? The appearance of a stripper aptly named The G-String King.
The G-String King waltzed in dressed as a fireman and quickly got to work
And scared the shite out of poor Granny
Some viewers weren’t too happy with how Carrick-On-Shannon was portrayed…
What’s cheap and tacky about a group of lads on a party bus mooning television cameras?
Oh.
