Which of these cartoon characters did you look up to as a kid?
CARTOONS PLAY A major role in your life when you’re a kid.
You are passionate about the ones you like, as well as the ones you don’t and are fiercely loyal to your favourite characters.
Some of them you like simply because they’re silly and funny, but others you actually hope you can someday be like.
Like these guys, for example…
The Scooby Gang
Fanpop
There was someone for everyone in the Scooby Gang. If you hoped to be a dashing gentleman, you’d be Fred. A clever glamourpuss? Daphne. The smartest cookie in the packet? Velma. Class clown? Shaggy.
Those guys were living our dreams right in front of us.

SuperTed
Popular Nostalgia
First of all, SuperTed was Welsh, and it's hard not to feel an affinity with out Celtic brothers and sisters. But that probably wasn't at the top of your head when you were a kid.
It's more likely that you admired his superpowers, secret magic word and rocket boots.
What a guy.
Captain Planet
wsj
Captain Planet's wry sense of humour and leadership skills impressed many a youngster in the 90s.
He also had a pretty bitchin' green mullet.
Top Cat
Fanpop
Top Cat truly was the coolest of the cool.
He never got stressed about anything, despite living in a bin and constantly getting into trouble with the law. What a role model.
Vinnie from Biker Mice from Mars
Toonfind
Vinnie was definitely the coolest of the three mice, and they were all bikers so you can imagine what kind of cool standard we're talking about here.
He also had a way with the ladies, and that is not to be sniffed at.

Peg from Lady and the Tramp

Her maturity and confidence was very appealing.
We didn't know it at the time, but what we admired was her #SWAG.

Bucky O'Hare
He lived in space, had loads of friends and a great costume.
He was also a lot cooler than all the other rabbit cartoon characters on the scene making him seem edgy.
