TRIPADVISOR HAS NAMED Castlewood House, a luxurious guesthouse overlooking Dingle Bay in Co. Kerry, as the best small hotel in Ireland.
The B&B is run by husband-and-wife duo Brian Heaton and Helen Woods Heaton, and has gained a reputation over the years as one of the downright loveliest places to stay in Ireland.
The rooms look a little something like this.
So bright, so warm, so cosy.
And the breakfasts are in a different league to other hotel breakfasts.
No miserable buffets here!
Instead you can take your pick from pancakes and fresh fruit.
A *perfect* full Irish.
And the most photogenic Eggs Benedict ever.
Divine.
And they have been known to welcome people with mimosas…
A warm welcome if there ever was one.
And they’ve been known to pull out all the stops for Valentine’s Day.
Hint hint.
All that and it’s within walking distance of all the pubs and restaurants in Dingle.
Really, the TripAdvisor reviews speak for themselves.
The Castlewood House was probably the nicest place we stayed during our 16 days in Ireland. The owners are pleasant and welcoming, the inn is amazing, the rooms are large and comfortable, and the breakfast… oh my, the breakfast is unbelievable.
OMG – I just wished I could have stayed more than one night. First class all the way. What a warm welcome with a mimosa, showed to our beautifully decorated room.
This is simply the best accommodation we have every stayed in in terms of quality, value for money, staff, food and overall experience. From start to finish we had an fantastic time. The breakfast is incredible with the range available and 5 star quality.
