This cat was flown from Australia to its owner in Ireland thanks to kind strangers
AN IRISH WOMAN has managed to get her cat flown from Australia to Dublin thanks to the kindness of strangers.

Meet George, a ginger cat from Sydney. George’s owner Fiona had to fly back to Ireland earlier in the year due to poor health, leaving him with neighbours in Australia. Her health prevented her from going back to the country, and when her neighbours moved, George had to fend for himself.
He wandered 20km until he was picked up and tracked via a microchip, before he was left in a local vet.
Fiona couldn’t bear the thought of it, so her two friends Cait and Sara created a GoFundMe page in an attempt to get the €1,600 costs together to transport George home on the plane.

They were hit with a €2,000 medical bill from the vet, just as they were approaching their goal. But that didn’t deter them, and the donations kept rolling in.
The fund was set up in late July, and FINALLY George was returned yesterday after a long flight
