There was a mouse loose in the Cavan twins' house on Gogglebox and it was the highlight of the night

“The mouse has come back in. He must want to watch Gordon Ramsay”

THE STAR OF last night’s Gogglebox Ireland wasn’t the Cabra girls, Michael Tea Higgins or the Grufferty family.

It was an unexpected visitor in Cavan.

About halfway through the episode, it cut to the Tully twins searching their living room for a mouse that had just entered

What.

The shoes were off and ready to go as they searched the place, but no joy

Later, as Gordon Ramsay’s documentary on Cocaine was on, the mouse returned:

“The mouse has come back in. He must want to watch Gordon Ramsay”

Then, we just heard screaming children in another area of the house

This was turning into an unexpected thriller. Throughout, the twins remained as calm as people who have mice in the gaff on a semi-regular basis:

“The mouse must have found them”

*more screams from the kids as we stare on an empty couch*

An unintentional horror scene playing out on Gogglebox Ireland, as they playfully referred to it as:

that little f**ker

It was the unexpected highlight of the evening

The speed that they had the shoes off was admirable

Sign that mouse up to a multiple-season contract

Everyone watching had a quick check of the skirting boards before bed

We never got closure on what happened

Was he caught? Released? WORSE?

A cliffhanger to end this week’s show.
