THE DRIVER OF a car that crashed through front of a California diner had mistaken the vehicle’s accelerator for the brake, according to officials.
CCTV footage from inside Surati Farsan Mart in San Diego, California, show the shocking moments when the car smashed through the building’s front last Friday, forcing terrified patrons to jump to safety.
One person, who was opening the door to leave the building when the car hurtled into him, was thrown upwards by the vehicle – but suffered only minor injuries, the Telegraph reports. Two others were slightly hurt in the accident.
It is not yet clear if the driver will be charged over the incident, according to NDTV.
