People are really split on that awkward Channel 4 cereal cafe interview

Channel 4 had questions about poverty in the area.

YESTERDAY LONDON’S FIRST Cereal Cafe opened its doors on London’s Brick Lane.

Belfast Twins Alan and Gary Keely started the business after launching a kickstarter campaign.

It’s a hipster’s dream. Retro cereal boxes, nostalgia-tastic toys, and cereal ‘cocktails’ with a wide range of milks and toppings.

Yesterday Channel 4 visited the cafe, which is situated in Tower Hamlets, where  ”one in every two children are living in poverty”.

The interview took an unexpected turn…

Reaction to the interview, which has been widely shared on social media, has been mixed.

Many feel that the line of questioning was below Channel 4′s standards, and many had a ‘pick your battles’ approach:
