Dublin hotel lashes out at Ed Sheeran fans in scathing Facebook post
CHARLEVILLE LODGE HOTEL in Phibsborough doesn’t beat around the bush.
Responding to criticism of room rates for the nights of the Ed Sheeran concerns in Croke Park this July, the manager of the hotel’s Facebook page has taken no prisoners.
In a lengthy post, it’s pointed out that:
The post goes on to recommend that those who are “not happy to pay the going rate on the nights of the concerts” and points them in the direction of some charities who might have availability – St Vincent De Paul, Dublin Simon Community, DSPCA etc.

The post has caused some mild consternation among Facebook users, with comments like:

Charleville Lodge has form in this area. Previously they took on potential customers threatening to use Travel Review Threats to get cheaper rooms.
They were also forced to apologise for posting on Facebook that the Garth Brooks gigs were going ahead (when they weren’t). The apology did end by telling people to “get a life” though. Ouch.
