Aidan Gillen is the SPIT of Charlie Haughey in the new RTÉ drama
WHAT BETTER WAY to stave off the ultimate Sunday night fear than with a drama about Charlie Haughey?
RTÉ has confirmed that the three part series will start at 9.30pm on Sunday 4 January… the night before most people return to work after the Christmas break.
It stars Aidan Gillen as Haughey and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor as PJ Mara.

Gillen has said that his portrayal is not a “full on impersonation”, but we’re guessing that it’s pretty close. RTÉ has today released a trailer for the series:
“There was something Shakespearean about Charlie’s lust for power”>
People are VERY confused by Aiden Gillen’s ever-changing accent in Game of Thrones
