STRANGER THINGS actor Charlie Heaton is reportedly in hot water after being ‘caught with cocaine’ at a Los Angeles airport.

The British star, who plays Jonathan Byers in the series, arrived at LAX last week ahead of the season two premiere on Thursday.

The Telegraph reports that he was selected for a random baggage check, at which point customs sniffer dogs directed officers to a small amount of cocaine in his luggage.

Heaton was not arrested, but his application to enter the country was denied and he was sent back to London, missing the premiere.

In 2008, singer Amy Winehouse was denied a US visa due to her drugs record, and was forced to perform at the Grammys live from a venue in London.

According to the Daily Mail, there are fears Heaton will face the same issue if and when filming resumes for Stranger Things. A source told the newspaper:

If you are a foreign national and it is a large amount of drugs you may be charged. But if it is personal use, the consequences are that you will not be allowed in to the country. US law is very strict on this.
