IT’S THE WRONG side of pay day, but you’re not ready to give up just yet.
Grab a couple of friends, pool your remaining Euros and hit up one of these spots for some vino.
1. McGrattan’s, Fitzwilliam Lane
McGrattan’s are notorious for their €10 bottles of wine. Mind yourselves.
2. The Pav, Trinity College
The Pav is the place to be of a fine summer’s eve – and they serve bottles of wine for a mere €14.30. Praise be to students!
3. The Mercantile, Dame Street
If you don’t fancy mucking in with the undergrads, head up to the Mercantile, where a bottle of house wine is €15. Perfect.
4. The Three Tun Tavern, Blackrock
What would a list of cheap pubs be without our new Wetherspoon’s? The Three Tun Tavern has bottles from €15.25. That’ll do nicely.
5. The Back Page, Phibsborough
Ostensibly a sports bar, but the offers will entice even the most football-phobic among you – a bottle of the house wine will set you all back €21. Go. Drink.
6. Pygmalion, South William Street
A nice spot for you and the gang to sit outside and watch the world go by, accompanied by a €21 (red) or €23 (white) bottle of wine.
7. The Black Sheep, Capel Street
The Galway Bay Brewery-owned pub may focus on craft beers, but it also does a fine line in wines for €21-€23.
8. The Duke, Duke Street
Just off Grafton Street, The Duke will provide you and your mates with bottles of wine for as little as €19.90. Cheers, big ears.
