One in 20 Irish people has checked their phone during sex
HOW MUCH DO you like your smartphone? More than sex, would you say?
Digital detox organisation Unplug surveyed over 100 people having pints in The Waterloo and Toners on Baggot Street, asking them various questions about their relationships with their smartphones.
By far the most worrying discovery was that 5% of the people surveyed have checked their phone during sex. That’s one in 20.
Unplug don’t specify if the phones were checked during the act itself, or just during general ~sexy time~, but we’re already despairing for humanity.
Thankfully, after all that, 88% of the people surveyed said that using your phone while having a group conversation is rude.
Please, someone communicate this fact to the people who can’t resist the allure of reading a text during sex.
