Two radio hosts find out they're fired while on the air, rightfully go off on their bosses

“What kind of operation is this?”

BEN FINFER AND Alex Quigley were on air on The Game 87.7 FM, a Chicago radio station, when this tweet popped up in their timeline.

The article revealed that their station was shutting down at the end of the year, meaning that the pair would soon be out of work.

They had received no inkling from management that this was in the pipeline and so, they rightly went off on one. Let’s just say it makes for some pretty compelling viewing.

Some choice quotes from the on-air exchange:

I don’t understand. Why is it so hard to tell your employees that they’re losing their jobs?
Isn’t there anybody here who has respect for employees?
We found out from Robert Feder while we were on the freakin’ air. What kind of operation is this?
How am I supposed to handle this with class? Nobody else around here is.

Anyone who has ever been unceremoniously fired will surely relate.

Breathe a sigh of relief: that amazing Lego note from the 1970s appears to be legit >
