A group of people in Kilkenny have brilliantly come together after a local Mexican restaurant was robbed
ON FRIDAY NIGHT, Mexican food popup The Chilli Penguin in Kilkenny realised that someone stole some money from them.
The popup which is based in the pub and music venue The Pumphouse, found that somebody had grabbed a load of cash and vanished while the venue was packed.
At first they believed the sum of money to be €200, but later on it was discovered that the amount that was taken was actually closer to €350.
The loss of the money was disastrous as it meant they were unable to buy supplies and therefore unable to make food which could have put them out of business for a while.

Thankfully, in just a day, donors on GoFundMe managed to replace the money that was stolen and even donated a little extra. So far they have raised €520 from 52 different people.
The owners took to the GoFundMe page to thank everyone who had donated. They wrote:
Alice, Marina and Cian who run The Chilli Penguin are absolutely delighted with the response. They plan on using the extra bit of money to make The Chilli Penguin even better.
