If you're sick of All Black Everything, this is the fashion Instagram account for you

Sometimes you just need a pop of colour.

THERE CAN BE nothing more pleasing than a sleek ABE outfit (All Black Everythang).

See Doireann Garrihy looking slick AF last Sunday night

But if you’re ready to throw off Winter’s dark shades and embrace the light this spring (wherever it arrives!), then you gotta follow Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s Instagram account.

Chimamanda is a Nigerian author and viral TED Talk speaker, a segment of which was included in Beyoncé’s ****Flawless song.

Here she is hanging out with Oprah!

What's amazing about Chimamanda's style is that she only wears clothes made in Nigeria.

Here she is at Harpers Bazaar Women of the Year Awards in London, where she was an honoree, looking stunning in a Moofa  dress

Swapping a slinky LBD for a show-stopping GGD (Green Gingham dress)

Is there any colour this woman does not look good in?

*sigh* If only our winter attire could be  chic as this look for Paris

Need this entire outfit for brunching through the weekend

Chimamanda is great at demonstrating that fashion is fun, and not as serious as Anna Wintour's resting-bitch-face would have you imagine

Two Nigerian brands in conversation.
The Fruche  top: orange and print color splash, rakish cut-out, metallic silver appliqué.
The Amarelis  trousers: a very yellow yellow, pleats running down its length, wide legs generously flowy.
Both refuse to choose. Both layer boldness with boldness.
(Pose is maximalist, too, unintentionally so. On this Lagos afternoom, I tuck my thumbs into my pockets thinking it cool until my brother Okey says, You look like you’re about to pull out a gun in a bad western film. And I laugh. And this.)

Chimamanda did make an exception to her 'made in Nigeria' rule when attending the Vanity Fair Oscar Party last month, by wearing a Dior dress (although her accessories were Nigerian)

However, she has a personal relationship with Dior. Her TED Talk We Should All Be Feminists was used by them to make the slogan t-shirt of the year, seen on Rihanna and Jennifer Lawrence, so Dior probably owed her a freebie dress.

How amazing would it be amazing if there were some Irish instagram influencers who only showcased all Irish designers more like Chimamanda?

You can catch Chimamanda speaking at the International Literature Festival Dublin in the Dublin Convention Centre next month. Looking forward to her instas already.
