The Thor actor was named People’s Sexiest Man Alive in a big reveal on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. Hemsworth takes the mantle from Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine, who won the accolade in 2013.

Previous honourees include Channing Tatum, Ryan Reynolds, Bradley Cooper, George Clooney and, er, Nick Nolte.

Hemsworth told People:

I think you’ve bought me a couple of weeks of bragging rights around the house. I can just say to her, ‘Now remember, this is what the people think, so I don’t need to do the dishes anymore, I don’t need to change nappies. I’m above that. I’ve made it now.’

Don’t get too big for your boots, whatever you do, Chris.
