CHRIS O’DOWD continues to go from strength to strength as an actor and he seems unstoppable at the moment.

The show is based on the novel ‘Get Shorty’ which was written by Elmore Leonard. In it lead character Miles Daly who will be played by Chris is attempting to leave his life as the muscle for a crime ring in Nevada and become a movie producer in Hollywood instead in order to reunite with his estranged family.

Once in Hollywood Miles will meet Rick Moreweather who will be played by Ray Romano, a producer of bad movies who is just about managing to stay relevant. He reluctantly agrees to help Miles out and be his guide around Hollywood and show business.

Miles will try to keep his two worlds from meeting and will have to strike a fine balance so that his crime ring chief Amara (Lidia Porto) doesn’t get suspicious. Caroyln Dodd will play Miles daughter Emma with Lucy Walters playing his estranged wife Katie.

There’s a lot of good people behind the show with Emmy nominee Allen Coulter and Adam Arkin in the directors chair so keep an eye out for it when it comes to our screens on June 6th.
