It looks like Chris O'Dowd has quietly been replaced as Tigger in the new Christopher Robin movie
PEOPLE WHO GREW up with Winnie the Pooh movies on VHS will probably have mixed feelings about the trailer for the new live action Christopher Robin film that was released over the weekend.
Pooh looks extremely different, but the trailer itself is very sweet so don’t write it off just yet. Ewan McGregor will star as Christopher Robin, and Peter Capaldi will voice the rabbit.
One thing we were anticipating, was Chris O’Dowd’s interpretation of Tigger. The Roscommon man was announced for the role back in January.
Tigger was previously voiced by Jim Cummings, who also voices Winnie the Pooh.
After watching the trailer, many noted that Chris’ Tigger voice was good. Perhaps a bit too good.

Suspicious.
IMDB is also now showing Cummings as voicing both Pooh and Tigger, and Chris O’Dowd has been removed completely.

There isn’t any official word on the replacement yet, but we’ve reached out to Disney for some clarification.
