ACTOR CHRIS PRATT has pissed off seemingly the entire internet after chatting about his love for hunting in an interview with the Guardian this weekend.
Avid hunter Pratt spawned hundreds of furious comments when he said:
I have a great deal of respect for the animals that I kill, and I feel remorse and all of the emotions that come with it.
He went on to say that recreational hunting was a ‘spiritual experience’.
The thing inside me that drives me to go out and hunt is very animal. But the remorse, emotion and respect I feel, and the closeness to God that I feel when I’m out there, is my humanity. It’s an opportunity for me to explore what parts of me are animal and what parts of me are human.
He has previously spoken about his love for hunting in an interview with Elle magazine in May. He claimed to have 40 guns and listed animals he has killed, such as elk, caribou, moose and deer.
Could this be the first taint in the sound lad status he currently holds?
We’re no Morrissey, but we say yes.
The actor is on a press tour for the upcoming Jurrasic World movie, and he previously posted a jokey apology on Facebook for anything he might say that will offend people.
I want to make a heartfelt apology for whatever it is I end up accidentally saying during the forthcoming #JurassicWorld press tour. I hope you understand it was never my intention to offend anyone and I am truly sorry. I swear. I’m the nicest guy in the world. And I fully regret what I (accidentally will have) said in (the upcoming foreign and domestic) interview(s).
Looks like it wasn’t just anticipation, after all.
