Poll: How much do you relate to Chrissy Teigen's 'booze is poison' tweet?
I COMPLETED DRY January for the first time this year, and while I am naturally smug AF for committing to the task, I can’t help but fear I may have unleashed unholy hell on myself as a result.

You see, the two hangovers I have had since February 1 have seemed infinitely worse than what has gone before.
In fact, it seemed like on both occasions my period of suffering was disproportionate to the amount of alcohol consumed. In other words, my trauma wasn’t warranted nor justified.
I have thereby come to the admittedly dubious conclusion that the dry spell has subsequently made my hangovers worse.
This notion has naturally been met with much scepticism, and I am regularly reminded that spending the first month of the year booze-free has simply dulled my memory of that infamous Saturday/ Sunday morning sensation.
And whether or not that is the case, comparing four of my Sundays in January with two I have endured in February has led me to declare that I will be reducing my alcohol intake significantly this year.
And that is likely why Chrissy Teigen’s recent tweets resonated so much with me, and tens of thousands of others yesterday.
The mother-of-two perfectly summed up the situation in the aftermath of the Vanity Fair Oscar party in a post which read: “Oh my God, I feel like absolute shit.”
And honestly, they were eight of the very few words I uttered on two separate days earlier this month.
She added to this by declaring herself sober for the next seven days, writing: “I hereby go sober for at least the week. Booze is poison.”
And yep, that final sentiment was mumbled multiple times by yours truly in the aftermath of Dry January this year.
While many of us have vowed ‘never to drink again’ the morning after the night before, we want to know how many of you actually abstained from drinking for a prolonged period of time after a particularly heavy night and painful aftermath.
