ON EASTER SUNDAY, Chrissy Teigen spent the evening proudly live-tweeting about her husband John Legend, as he took on the role of Jesus Christ in the live musical ‘Jesus Christ Superstar Live!’.
The musical was airing live on NBC, so plenty of Americans were tuned in. It wasn’t long until Chrissy began to respond to critics.
One critic that Chrissy couldn’t ignore was political commentator Bill O’Reilly.
O’Reilly complained about the fact that Jesus ran a tattoo parlour in the musical.
But as usual, Chrissy Teigen had a clapback prepared.
The model joked that JC’s tattoo shop specialised in cover-ups that did not cost $32 million dollars, in reference to the reported $32 million settlement that Bill O’Reilly paid to a former Fox network analyst that he had allegedly sexually harassed.
The New York Times reported on the settlement in the early stages of the #MeToo movement, and explained that the settlement was made after the woman alleged that O’Reilly had repeatedly harassed her, had a non-consensual sexual relationship with her, and sent gay pornography and other sexually explicit material to her.
O’Reilly did not respond to Chrissy Teigen’s tweet.
