Christian Bale has given advice to his Batman successor, Ben Affleck. The actor is currently promoting his new movie, Out of the Furnace, so had no choice but to weight-in on the controversial casting decision.

He told Access Hollywood that he wishes Affleck “all the best” and that he’s sure he’ll “make [the role] his own”.

When asked if he had any advice for the new Batman, Bale said:

No, the only thing I said to him is just make sure he can take a piss without anyone having to help him, because it’s a little bit humiliating, which I went through when you have to have somebody kind of help you out with the costume in order to be able to do that. So that’s my main piece of advice for him.

It looks like Meryl Streep is in line to play Susan Boyle in an upcoming biopic about her rise to fame. The Scottish singer revealed that Streep had been approached after she refused to act in it herself.
