It's officially Christmas! Our 7 favourite things in the bumper RTÉ Guide
IT’S OFFICIALLY CHRISTMAS in the offices of DailyEdge.ie and TheJournal.ie.
Not only have we sorted out our Secret Santa extravaganza, but more importantly, we have a box of After Eights AND THE BUMPER CHRISTMAS RTÉ GUIDE!
God bless us, everyone.
Here are our seven favourite bits…
1. Brian Dobson in braces
Dobbo makes the Christmas cake in his house, and says “if I don’t make it, it won’t get made”.
2 These movies
Up: Christmas Day, 5.10pm
The Muppet Christmas Carol: 11am Chistmas Eve, Channel 4
Have you read our 9 reasons why Home Alone is deadly? You should watch it at 3.55pm on Christmas Eve because it’s deadly.
3. Nigella
We want Nigella to hold us to her bosom and tell us we can eat as much sticky pudding as we like this Christmas. There’s a double-page-spread on page 18.
4. Moone Boy
David Rawle from the Sky 1 show Moone Boy says 2012 has been his best year ever. He also says he invited all his friends over to watch the first two episodes on TV. So cute.

6. Catherine Fulvio’s fancy grub
It’s far from prawn and fennel bisque any of us were reared. What’s wrong with a bit of stuffing and a feed of apple crumble?
7. Maeve Binchy
There’s a fitting tribute to Maeve Binchy in the RTÉ Guide in the form of one of her Christmas short stories. RIP.
